Privacy Policy
Series Hub (“we”, “us”) is a companion app for discovering web series and TV shows. This page explains, in plain language, what data is and isn't collected when you use the app.
Information we collect
No account or sign-in is required, so we never collect your name, email address, or a personal profile.
- Favorites and preferences are stored only on your device. They are never sent to our servers.
- Advertising data. We use Google AdMob to show ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID), approximate location derived from your IP address, and general usage data (such as ad impressions and clicks) to serve and measure ads. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- App configuration. We use Firebase Remote Config to control app behaviour remotely (for example, turning features on or off). It uses a Firebase installation identifier and does not collect personal data about you.
How we use information
Solely to display ads — which keep Series Hub free, with no subscriptions or paywalls — and to manage app behaviour remotely.
Third-party services
Series Hub uses Google AdMob and Firebase, both operated by Google LLC. Their handling of data is described at policies.google.com/privacy. You can learn how Google uses data from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Data sharing and sale
We do not sell your personal data to anyone. Advertising data is shared with Google only for the purpose of serving and measuring ads.
Children's privacy
Series Hub is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will address it promptly.
Your choices
- Opt out of personalised ads at any time on your device: Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads), where you can also reset or delete your Advertising ID.
- Clear your Favorites at any time from the Profile tab inside the app.
- Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
Data retention
Favorites stay on your device only until you clear them or uninstall the app. We hold no personal data on our servers to retain.
Security
All network communication from the app uses encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the update will appear on this page with a new date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
